If you're reading this blog, that means you've probably read this blog: http://wanderonwards.com/2013/12/30/23-things-to-do-instead-of-getting-engaged-before-youre-23/ & you're probably expecting me to defend my marriage and disagree with her bucket list. Well, surprise! :)
I love being 21 and married.
I love my fellow newlywed friends and I love my single friends.
I also love my friends that post memes like this:

Here is my personal recommendation of 23 things to do instead of, during, before and/or after getting engaged before the age of 23:
1. Always be uncomfortable with where you are in your faith.
2. Don't date someone you have no intentions of ever marrying.
3. Volunteer. Personally I have found great pride in volunteering through:
Habitat for Humanity, Domestic Violence shelters, & the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
4. Realize you are not designed for everyone to like you & that's okay.
5. ACCEPT THIS: "The scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That's it.
It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life, force, possibility, strength, or love."
6. Download the app "Shopular" because it'll save you money.
7. If you get a tattoo, make sure it means something. It is permanent; just not more permanent than marriage ;)
8. "Accomplish a Pinterest project." <--- Wise words from Vanessa, the blogger that started this whole thing.
9. Go on a mission trip; it'll change your life & change your faith.
10. Don't be afraid of long distance relationships.
11. Help someone else cross something off of their bucket list.
12. Save your naked body only for the ONE who falls in love with your naked soul. (Your husband/wife).
13. Go to Disney World; no matter how old you are!
14. If you do get married or ever want to live harmoniously with your current spouse; don't be "friends" with your ex.
15. Keep a memory box-- the birthday cards you collect over the years will mean so much after your loved ones have passed.
16. Get Netflix. End of story. You're welcome.
17. If and when you get married, don't let anyone stand next to you on your special day that doesn't deserve to.
18. If you have to hide a relationship or communication with someone (anyone)... it's not a relationship worth having.
Contact me if you need further convincing.
19. Don't post anything on social media you wouldn't show your parents, your spouse, your preacher, your teacher, your employer, etc. If you don't have a filter at all & don't care who sees what you post: delete all forms of social media.
20. Adopt a child through World Vision. (and/or adopt a pet)
21. If you can't say it kindly... BE QUIET.
22. Be an entrepreneur & if you don't wanna be: support someone who's dream isn't to help build someone else's.
23. Start a blog :)
